The castle is very well kept and it's worth going inside for the view of the village and fields surrounding.

Totally recommended for visit, the castle as the village of Linhares da Beira. Only the walls are visitable, not inside the castle but is worthy. The village is nice and pitoresque to walk through the narrow steets.

Old and picturesque village, one of the nicest and interesting I have seen anywhere, a bit of a trip for a car driver but well worth it, at the foot of the Serra Estrala mountains

Don't expect much inside but be amazed with the surroundings. Wherever you turn you will see amazing landscapes.

Travelled to the Guarda region and decided to visit this castle and town based on reviews. What a pleasant little place! We went inside the castle and took the 3k walk around the town. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.
