We lunched in the café (amazing!) then took a short and informative cruise and walk along the billabong. We were given just enough information regarding r-seeding, pest control, the various species of birds and land and water creatures the billabong supports, but not too much to put us to sleep! Thoroughly recommend the tour if you have the time.

Before lunch a short walk around the Billabong only 700 metres, how beautiful and relaxing. Spotted fish, a large nesting black bird and a Turtle sunning itself. Unfortunately didn't spot a koala, but maybe next time. Looking forward to a longer walk on the next visit. Lovely experience.

Beautiful billabongs abounding with lilies, big old gums overhanging the water, a painters dream. Acres of very old gnarly grape vines at every turn. The replanting and protection of indigenous plants commendable. What a lovely day to spend a whole day discovering the best of old Victoria.. A couple of days or a weekend in Nagambie highly recommended.

This whole area is very interesting and worth the detour. Bring your camera! Next time I'll allow more time.

This walk is available to anyone who visits Tahbilk winery in return for a gold coin donation. The walk can take as long at 90 minutes, is relatively easy and wends its way around the 8 kilometres of the Tahbilk Billabong. It's well sign posted and includes a bird watch. On weekends you can take a boat around. Quite something!

Great scenery, a natural wildlife sanctuary centred around billabongs and the Goulburn River. If it's running try to take the Eco friendly barge tour to see the bird life and the river gums.

Interesting to hear how the company are making their land sustainable whilst on the water in comfortable boat, options to get off and on if you wanted to walk part of the way, an enjoyable way to spend an hour

We regularly visit Tahbilk. I have been going here since I was a child and a lot has changed over the last !!!!! years. The addition of the cafe has been a real bonus as it is such a lovely spot to sit and have lunch. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow, but the vista helps to make... More
