Along with family, I had a wonderful afternoon paddle on the Sissiboo River with Hanford (I hope I spelled it right) of Hinterland Adventures, just outside of Weymouth. He's a very experienced paddler, with great people skills and the "set up" is fantastic. I'd go...More

We took an afternoon tour with our two young kids (4 and 11). Our guide was so patient with us, even though we were very inexperienced. I highly recommend that you go canoeing or kayaking with this outfit if you enjoy spending an afternoon on...More

We kayaked the Sissiboo River on the night of the full moon. Paddled down-river into the sunset, up-river into the moonrise. Brilliant! Good instruction for beginners, good attention to safety. Would have liked more commentary on local wildlife and river history, geography, etc.

Our family of 4 (children 15 and 12) went to find out what Nova Scotia was like this year, and a highlight was the 30 or so hours spent with Hanford and Vicky at Hinterland Adventures. I think that normally they do longer trips, and...More

Our guide was friendly, helpful and answered all of our questions. This was an amazing experience and we saw beautiful scenery but definitely took some muscle strength to keep up. You will be proud of what you accomplished when you are done.
