We rented a car and drove to the water falls. At first you are charged a road tax and then a park entrance fee. Nothing official, just people literally sitting on the side of the road with a rope. Once you get in, you see the nice cooling waterfalls, there is a path under the falls next to the mountain... More

You should visit these falls in combination with a visit to the Agua Azul waterfalls or perhaps the Robert Barrios falls. A sole visit here would perhaps be underwhelming. With the being said, the water is fairly spectacular as it falls from such a height and the greenery around enhances the experience.

The waterfall is nice and ok to visit if you are in the area anyway but I would definitely not plan a trip just to visit this place. It is ok but really nothing special and very crowded.

If you have seen other more spectacular falls in the world, then this is an average waterfall However, on a hot day, it is a good place to relax. There are better waterfalls in this area notably Cascada Azul. From the car park, it is a short walk to the falls. You can walk behind the falls and take a... More

About a 30-minute drive from the town of Palenque is the Misol-Ha waterfall, a single cascade of approximately 100 feet. Upon arrival, we followed the path that winds its way behind the cascade, stopping to take numerous photos. Having planned ahead we wore our swimsuits under our clothes and we both swam in the refreshing waters of the pool formed... More

Swimmable lake under the waterfall, no risk of undercurrent and drowning, sometimes you see a howler monkey in the trees overhead. You pay a roadtoll for some farmers "owning the road" (10 peso) and the entrancefee for the falls themselves. You'll need a car to get there. Good road, shouldn't pose a problem for a rental car.

If You're on the region and on the way to San Crostobal or agua azul, it's worth stoping by taking a few pictures. It's a nice setting and beutiful waterfalls, if you plan to swim better wait and head to agua azul
