Second visit to the common. A great place to stroll and see a good range of wildlife. Amazing butterflies and possibly the best site for Silver Wash Fritillarys. Dog friendly shame the car parking is a bit pricey and you have to pay by phone.

Great Bookham Common is a great place for hacking. Well maintained bridle ways. A couple of areas get rather boggy. But over all you can ride round the lakes without getting muddy in the winter months.

The common supports an incredible variety of flora and fauna including the rare purple emperor butterfly. There are several ponds and well managed woodland. Lots of dog walkers but be aware that there are deer.
