Mu husband climbed the steps in the lighthouse while I wandered the little gift shop. A lovely array of goods that are definitely not of the usual tacky touristy variety. I bought a number of gifts to bring home for friends.

We visited several lighthouses during our trip to PEI, and this one was our favourite. It is nicely located overlooking a red rocky and sandy beach. The views are incredible and worth the trip.

Great location. Nice part of a cruise ship tour. A nice old lighthouse worth a trip out of Charlottetown. Climb the tower and enjoy the view. A good point if exploring the lighthouses of PEI. I cant tell if there is any charge here as...More

Hi, we're glad you enjoyed your visit! We enjoy the cruise ship buses rolling in! There is a charge for visitors ($5 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12, HST included).

The point itself is dramatically scenic. We did not pay a fee to go up the lighthouse since many reviewers indicated how steep the access was. Nevertheless the surrounding is stunning. Worth the drive to the point.

I enjoyed stepping back in time while climbing the steps of the Point Prim Lighthouse. It is a gem of old architecture and I can just imagine being the keeper back in the day. For just $5.00 you are given access to climb the steep...More

This has to be one of the most beautiful places on the island- amazing view, history and beach. Not to mention next to the chowder house and their outstanding food.

Beautifull to look, amazing architectural tresor and full of historical artifact, this lighthouse is worth the detour. you can enjoy a complete visit from bottom to top for only 5$ per adult. dont loose your time over smaller, less welcoming lighthouse.

Way over priced for what they offered. New England styled chowder was 'brothy'. I've been to beautiful chowder houses near lighthouses up and down the East coast and this was by far, the worst!

Hello, you ate at the Point Prim Chowderhouse which is right next door to the lighthouse. We do not serve food at the lighthouse.

This is an excellent PEI lighthouse to visit, as previously noted! Also of note is the quality goods (pottery, jewellery, furniture, art) that are available in the adjacent gift shop. A very enjoyable place to stop in, after enjoying the other great gift shops in...More

Well worth the few dollars to walk to the top of this lighthouse. My kids were interested in listening and talking to the HAM radio operators in the main floor.
