I could never say enough great things about my trip with Fundy Tidal Bore Adventures! I was traveling with my less adventurous husband and too-little daughter so I woke up early, took the rental car, and drove from Halifax to ride the tide alone.

The drive from Halifax was easy and took less than an hour. Check in was quick and the woman signing everyone in was super friendly and informative. I was quickly outfitted with a life vest (rain coats are available but the weather was nice so I opted out. You are going to get soaked either way!) and enjoyed relaxing in the yard while we waited for the tide to start coming in. I struck up conversations with other friendly travelers so even though I was "alone" I felt welcomed and fully connected to the experience.

When it was time to go I jumped into Capt Derricks boat and enjoyed an informative and leisurely ride downstream as we made our way towards the ocean to meet the incoming tide. Derrick talked about the history, geology, and ecology of the surrounding area. We spotted many bald eagles and the scenery was breath taking. In a way, it felt like a spiritual experience being out on the water in such a beautiful place. We stopped to enjoy some optional mud sliding (do it, trust me!) before we finally pulled over to watch the tide approaching from the ocean.

Standing on the mud flat watching the "tidal wave" come rolling in was pure magic. The whole experience felt surreal. Once the tide got close enough, Derrick had us jump into the zodiac boat and we were off to play in the waves. Riding the tide was the perfect balance of exhilarating, fun, and safe. Derrick always had our well being in mind and made the trip unforgettable.

I opted to purchase the go pro video and it was the perfect way to commemorate my trip. Trust me, you'll be holding on for dear life, so the likelihood of you being able to document the experience yourself is slim! My one and only regret was only purchasing the 2 hour tour instead of the 4 hour tour. I 100% plan on coming back with my daughter when she's a bit older.

If you are into nature and adventure make riding the tides a priority while you are in the area. You are going to love it!

Group of four women went on Sunday morning, last weekend in September. It was such a great experience! Our guide Morgan made sure we had the best time, he was professional, knowledgeable, and easy-going. We took videos on a couple gopros and were laughing hysterically as the waves pounded and submerged us. Hot showers and shoe lending were nice touches. Will definitely be back!

The entire 4hrs was so much fun. The owners are so nice, the business is incredibly well run. The equipment is top notch. The mud sliding was cool, everyone had a great time. I was surprised at how many waves we experienced. I thought there would only be a few waves but there were so many and they were all exciting! The guide paused a couple of times to give everyone an opportunity to sit in the front. At one point we were able to go swimming and float along the river. There were a group of 4 young men in the boat with us and they went over a couple of times but they were in no danger and the guide immediately cut the engine and brought them back in. They thought it was hilarious (as did we 🙂) and I think it added to the fun for them 🙂
Would 100% recommend this!
The hot showers at the end were wonderful too!! Made for a much nicer drive back home.

We loved our tidal bore rafting adventure! We were a bit apprehensive since we had a 5 year old with us, but everyone was very patient and helped him enjoy the full exhilarating adventure. The whole experience from booking online, check-in, equipment, all the way to the actual rafting was spot on. We had a great guide (Kaitlin) who made the experience extra fun - if you consider being taken through multiple cycles of a "washing machine" fun that is! Highly recommended!

We had the best time today with Fundy Tidal Bore Adventures! We couldn't ask for a better Captain than Captain Cruz! He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He gave us lots of time on the mudslide, but made sure we were in the boats in time for the Tidal Bore while the competition company were scrambling for their boats and missed the initial Tidal Bore. It was a truly amazing experience and our family had an absolute blast! Five out of five is not enough!

This was the highlight of our Nova Scotia trip. It was so much fun and family oriented. Morgan was our guide and was incredible!! Lots of fun rafting and seeing bald eagles 🦅! I would highly recommend tidal bore rafting if you’re in the area. Will definitely be back when we do our next trip to Nova Scotia! A must do adventure! Nice hot showers when finished.

I had great tidal bore experience with them. It is definitely an adventure as the company name indicates. Our guide Cruz is amazing with his driving skills which got all of us socking wet head to toe. He is also very flexible and original when it comes to activities above and in the water as well as with the waves and tidal bore. The staff is so nice and friendly too. They made sure all of us were taken care of and feel comfortable. They are highly recommended!

My daughter and I recently visited Nova Scotia and spent the day with Fundy Tidal Bore Adventures.

The booking was very easy and we recived all the necessary emails with confirmation and reminders. The website was very detialed as to what to expect, what to pack and when to arrive.

Check in was very easy with lots of parking. Ample time to prepare before our 4 hour trip. We were then introced to our guides and given soem final details and sent on our way.

Our guide was Haleigh and she was amazing. She introcueded herself and asked us about our tirip and what we were looking to do during the rafting trip. She covered all the saftey topics and got us out on the river. The scenery on the way out was beautiful and we saw a lot of Eagles. We then went to the slide area and had so much fun. Do pack clotes that you wont mind throwing away when the trip is over. We spent aroudn 20 minutes playing in the mud and everyone had so much fun. Got washed off and back into the boats and headed to see the bore.

The waves came up quick and big and Haleigh made sure we hit every single one. I have been white water rafting several times and this was far better than those trips. The waves are big and having a Zodiac with a motor allows you do do the rapids/waves several times before mving onto the next section up the river as the tide comes in.

We did the 4 hour trip and got to do both sections comapred to the 2 hour trip. After we were done we docked back at where we started. The building has nice hot showers which is a must to get all the mud, dirt and salt off. I just threw my clothes away.

I highly reccomend Fundy Tidal Bore and the only negative is I wish they had a stoe on site as I woudl have loved to purchase my daughter and I either a shirt of a hat.

Great tour comapny and 5 stars to Haleigh.

This was my second time tidal bore rafting and the first time with this company. I would highly recommend Fundy Tidal Bore Rafting. Check-in and preparation for the trip were efficient. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Morgan and his family provided us with a memorable experience. We ere in Morgan’s boat. He was knowledgeable and funny. He insured we all had turns sitting in different spots to insure everyone had a turn up front, if we wanted. The scenery was incredible between the Bridge and Maitland. Although we went during a normal tide, we still had a great experience. The walk down the hill from check-in building, to the water, was fairly easy with steps down to the shore. We got to walk the sand bar and mud slide during the trip. The showers were hot and felt good after being covered in muddy water and mud!! All part of the fun!! Excellent!!!!

We went Aug 11, 21 Nana, Mom and 2 teenagers on the 2 hour tour, with another family of 4 all ages covered in this trip. Our experienced guide Kyle explained everything, incoming tides, tidal wave. We had lots of fun, tons of laughs and a few screams along the way. Mud slides were a thrill, mostly for the youngins. Nice hot showers when we returned. Everyone was very friendly and seemed to be having a fabulous time. Thanks
