Really something special,they have their own zoo,many animals..Like paradise..Monastery was verry nice and the monks are verry hostable and kind..Must visit...

The monastery and grounds are beautiful with fantastic views. No admission costs and welcoming to visitors. Only downside is the 'dinner lady' cotton robes for the ladies to cover shoulders and knees lol!

Worth to go for visit to this Monastery! You can talk to cypriot Symeon about monastery history very nice icons to see and make photo! Also zoo outside from monastery worth to see it

Beautiful monastery, well cured and maintained museum. Nice panoramic view. Easy reachable as it is by the road to Agios Nikita.

Was lucky enough to visit the monastery when it opened its doors to the public for the celebration of the resurrection. The monastery was beautiful inside and the views across the bay were breathtakinf

If you are passing by...stop to see the view from the monastery's garden! It's magnificent! If you are not...don't bother...the view is the main atraction!I don't know the history of this place...You chose!

We went in the morning. Not sure of opening hours. They might close lunchtime then i would think they are open Put your question on tripadviser Lefkada forum you are sure to get a definate answer. Fab views from up there... More
