The display really doesn't treat our early history well. Democracy in Australia didn't begin with the erection of this building or even with Federation. For this to be a true Museum of Australian Democracy it should give detailed coverage of the beginnings of democracy in the colonies and Eureka should be given credit for what was achieved. Can see why we needed a new parliament house as this would be a security nightmare but it is a beautiful and very interesting part of our history

Very well set up and very informative. Lots of good displays. Coffee shop if you must. Well set up for school groups with lots of interactive technology to engage with.

beautiful building with amazing flooring, woodwork throughout. Displays were entertaining and staff very helpful. Cannot comment on cafe as we did not eat there

Stopped by to see the gallery exhibition of the Political cartoons published over the last year, lampooning our ;Glorious Leaders' ! Well worth seeing. Plenty of parking outside and a nice cafe inside.

Old parliament house is a classic piece of Australian architecture, on entering the place it is best to get advice from the staff about what there is to see as the place is like a rabbit warren and one can easily become disoriented. What a gem of a place this, Old Australian Parliament, interested or not in politics the comparison between this place and the new parliament building is amazing. It was interesting to look around old parliament house and see the old rooms and behind the scenes. We did not do a tour just wandered about ourselves. There is a map and plenty of information cards to read. My husband thought the new parliament house must have wasted too much tax payers money as it is all lovely new... More
