The view is magnificent, walks outside and the children's playground is appreciated by the kids. There is an interesting bonsai display and shop. Food is available and plenty of parking makes it easy.

Wow the view from up top of Mount Ainslie is just breathtaking. We went just on dusk and the skies and sites where spectacular. The best view is looking straight down Anzac Parade to Parliament House. Amazing

Mt Ainslie is one if the first places I tell visitors to go. The view from the top gives a stunning panorama of Canberra's designed layout. You can either drive to the top or, if you're after some exercise, hike up. The walking track up is well established and you can just take it at your own pace. You can't... More

It seems this lookout was used as inspiration for the design of the city. As a freebie it is a must do.

You can walk, cycle or drive up. If walking or cycling you can continue on to Mount Majura. Fantastic view of Canberra showing how it was planned with great views over the War Memorial, down ANZAC Parade, across the lake, over old Parliament House to the new Parliament House with Red Hill behind. At night you can see the lights... More

Great view of the city. Would only visit if the weather is good. Drove up and it was a bit of a climb for the old car.

A great view over the whole city and doesn't need many words. Disadvantage is that there are no toiletts and no food available.
