We went for a walk from our hotel around the Centre part of the lake early one morning. It is an easy and pleasant walk, with toilets and coffee available.

We crossed over Lake Burley Griffin many times in our short Canberra stay. It is definitely at it’s most beautiful on a nice day, with the fountain in full flight.

Wonderful trail network around this lake, with three options of long or short circle loops. Well worth the time on your visit, and there are cafes, markets at the old bus depot, ice cream along the way.
