As a veteran of Vietnam, When in Canberra I always like to visit the War Memorial, both to pay my respects and to remember. all Australian's should visit and understand their history and why we are who we are today.

This is an excellent place for learning about the world wars, for both adults and children. Could easily spend all day there. Take your comfortable shoes as there is quite a bit of walking. Cannot express how fantastic this place is!

The Australian War Memorial has parking. I believe it is free on the weekends.
