Only had a few hours in the schedule for this visit. It wasn't enough. Really needs a full day. So much to see. Tour guides very helpful. Poppy's cafe does good food and the furniture is so fitting for the location. Will not say any more about the furniture you need to find out for yourself.

What an amazing place to visit. It will take more than a few hours to go through it all and fully experience what it offers. All areas are interesting. I really enjoyed the Afghanistan Gallery which hadn't been there when I visited previously - a long while back. It was very interesting and so well collated. I shall return.

This is a must to see. The information is well set out and the dioramas have been redone and show clearly the tragedy and conditions of war. The setting of the War Memorial is magnificent with statues along Anzac Parade leading up to the Memorial. The tomb of the unknown shoulder is also worth a visit. You could easily spend... More

Very moving service at 5pm, honouring a serviceman/woman each day. The exhibitions are amazing. The volunteers are very knowledgeable. A must see.

The War Memorial is a fabulous place to visit and we spent several hours there. The displays are really well laid out. We stayed for the Last Post Ceremony at 4.55pm. Well worth the visit.

We were only here for a few hours but managed to see three action movie presentations and lots of battles and memorabilia. I would recommend that you spend a couple of days exploring the various rooms/years here so you can really appreciate. We intend to come back and visit properly. There are cafes here so you can take a break... More

Unfortunately we did not have enough time to see everything. We did however take part in one of the free tours which was excellent and very informative. I particularly liked learning the stories of individuals. The memorial ceremony at the end of the day was very moving. I hope to return soon with more time to spend at this excellent... More

The War Memorial is a great way to honour all those Service men and Women, past and present who have either come home or died for our country. It is a great way for kids to learn about the ANZAC Heritage

With a friend from Canada over visiting, I thought of things to do in Canberra, and where else but the War Memorial?! What a great tribute to those who have fought before us.. we wandered for some time - make sure you allocate a good 2-3 hours at least to see everything! One downside was the lay out, you feel...
