The flowers were beautiful and the colours were amazing. The stores were great and the food choices were pretty good. The music was a bit loud, but there was a lot of space to move away to eat lunch. The rides seemed packed, but we avoided that area. We deliberately went on a Monday as the weekend would have been way too crowded. Glad to have gone to see all the flowers.

Floriade was disappointing maybe we expected too much. Not as big as we thought when that was why we visited from Brisbane.. However we visited the new Parliament House, then the old, both we found very interesting and would like to go back to both. The war memorial was also outstanding and again could go back to absorb more. The National Museum has the most amazing visual display of aboriginal artwork called Connection and gosh outstanding well worth a visit. The Mint is also worth a visit.. Flight to and from Canberra via Virgin and Jetstar were outstanding . On time and pleasant travelling. We hear most negative stories about the airlines so ours is positive… we used Uber to get around and also wonderful.

Lots of beautiful tulips, poppies and pansies and more on display. The Murrumbidgee Rotary Club had a great paint a gnome or frog activity that kept adults and kids busy for a couple of hours and made for a great souvenir. Best to wear shoes that don't mind some mud (or paint) though as the grounds were quite soggy when we visited.
