Tucked out of the way on the Canberra subhurb of Deakin this small privately owned gallery has constantly revolving exhibitions. It has four modest gallery spaces all on one level with a small backyard where sculpture is displayed. It shows works from artists across Australia. If you are looking to take some well priced art by Australian artists home this... More

The art here was nice, a mix of sculpture, painting, glass etc. Worth the trip. The cafe was also very nice. Right near the Mint.

Beaver Galleries, owned by Martin and Suzie Beaver and founded by Martin's parents is simply the best commercial gallery in Canberra. Fresh exhibitions with regular changes, competitive pricing, excellent upper crust giftshop and a very good little restaurant make for a very pleasant interlude. Situated just opposite the Mint and with lots of parking.

Always visit this gallery when in Canberra. Attended opening night of David Frazer. Good crowd in attendance. Owners are friendly and helpful.

We have bought several paintings and items of jewellery from this gallery over the last 40 years. It's enjoyable just to visit. As with any gallery, we do not like everything that is exhibited. However, there is always something that takes our fancy.

I was here for a reception that a friend hosted for a non-profit. Great catering by Word of Mouth and a perfect opportunity to explore the gallery. Some really amazing glassware -- but with pretty steep prices. Loved so many of the things in the gallery but many were outside what I would be willing to pay.

This galley not only displays paintings but also jewellery, ceramics, glass and timber pieces. Good if you're looking for an unusual gift.

I'm just reviewing the gallery here, as the cafe operates under a different name, Palette (and I've reviewed that there). Beaver Galleries is 40 years old, and I reckon I've been going to them for about 37 years. Whenever I have a wedding, or engagement, or 21st gift to buy this is where I go. They have glass and ceramic... More

The Beaver Gallery is a lovely indoor/outdoor venue with tasteful artworks and a cafe. I visited for lunch with a friend. The food was extremely nice with smallish servings that were enough to satisfy you without being excessive as is the case with many places these days. Unfortunately I found the noise level when filled with people was over the... More

I've been to Beaver Galleries a few times as a Canberra resident and I'm never disappointed. If it's just a walk around the gallery, buying a unique gift for someone special or just a cup of coffee the gallery is fantastic. So if your a visitor to the region or a resident like me put an hour aside and have... More
