Bonza Bike Tours was founded in 2004 to create a unique experience in Sydney. Before we came around, there was no way to see all that Sydney has to offer without killing your feet or being stuck behind the window of a bus. We focus on creating a fun environment where you can become part of the active lifestyle that Sydney is famous for, while having a few laughs with fellow travelers. We look forward to seeing you in Sydney – and Melbourne, too!

Unless we were not travelling with another couple, we would not have even considered a bike tour but I have to say it was brilliant that we did. Matt the guide was excellent and made sure we all kept together without becoming too over protective. This was an excellent way to see the sites and cannot recommend enough that you... More

My college age daughter and I went on this tour. Our leader was Kat, who was very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and fun... We went up on the Harbour Bridge, toured around the observatory, the Opera House, through Chinatown, around the Quays and the Royal Botanical Gardens. It was a lovely day for the ride, which was mildly strenuous in parts,... More

Set in the Rocks, this bike shop will hire you a decent hybrid bike to go exploring. I have hired twice and expanded my experience and knowledge of Sydney hugely. Last visit I did CBD to Manly- this is a challenging ride but well worth it. Lots of juicy hills. Not for the faint hearted. The staff here are friendly... More

What a fabulous 4 hours! A beautiful sunny day in winter, a knowledgeable tour guide, well maintained bike and a cycle tour of the sights and visiting most of Sydneys landmarks including cycling over Harbour bridge! You get to walk through the Botanical Gardens, visit Hyde Park, Circular Quays. and visit one of the oldest pubs for pie, mash and... More

We had a great experience with the Bonza bike tour...we had a excellent and informative guide(Kat) who takes you all around Sydney. The city is so big you definitely can't walk or even take the train to see everything and this is the best way to get around, especially if you have only a few days here. You check out... More

A very healthy and effective way to get to know Sydney. Experienced and caring tour guides lead you to see the most notable landmarks in town. I fully recommend to take this tour as soon as you get to Sydney as the tour gives you a great perspective of central Sydney and you might discover other places to visit that... More

Went on the Sydney Harbour Bridge Tour which also includes the highlights of the city. The tour lasted about five hours and went to areas you would never get to on foot. Kat was our tour leader and she was really jolly and chatty giving us details of the sights. Would highly recommend this experience of seeing the city.

What a great way to experience Sydney! I hadn't been on a bike for 20+ years but Bonza Bike Tours eased me back into it with a phenomenal tour of the city. I had a a great guide (Kat) who made sure I was comfortable and then took us on an extensive but easy ride around Sydney. There were plenty... More

The tour took about 3 - 4 hours or so and covered about 15km, but it never really felt very far. The guide we had (sorry can't remember his name) was superb. His knowledge of local history was excellent, especially as he was from Adelaide. He was a pharmacist by trade, but took the tours as he enjoyed it so... More

I had been in Sydney for almost a week as a tourist before taking the five hour Bonza Bike Tour and the sign of how successful it was for me was how many new places it took me and new places it showed me. As we toured the city on wheels, using cycle paths and quiet roads, it felt as... More

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
