Get an opal card at the information centre near terminal 5 on circular quay and plan to use this means of transport to explore Sydney. Inexpensive and great vistas particularly in the ferries to Watson Bay and Manly.

When in Sydney the best way to see the harbour is on anyone of the numerous ferries. Whether it be to Manly or Watson's bay you can't beat the ferries for low cost touring. An Opal card is a must which can be found at an of the hundreds of outlets which you can easily Google. Make the ferry a... More

We ride the ferry to Taronga Zoo and it was a pleasant experience for the whole family, even the baby. There were two seating sections, indoor and outdoor. The outdoor setting is nice when it doesn't rain as you get to enjoy the beautiful view of Sydney Harbour and get to take nice pictures as the ferry drives at a... More

What a way to see Sydney harbour. My son works on these Sydney Ferries so I get inside information so to speak. All the staff are so friendly & helpful they'll direct you in the right direction. If your in Sydney you must have a ride on the Sydney Ferries.

When in Sydney this is the only way to travel and the best way to take in the spectacular harbour. Take the ferry to Manly for lunch.

I was in Sydney with my family in April for a holiday and Sydney Ferry was one attraction which I was planning on doing. We reached Circular Quay around 10am and boarded a ferry for a round trip via Darling Harbour. The experience was really good and it reminded the memories I had of the Staten Island Ferry in NYC.... A great service, always on time. The ferries are well maintained & clean.Word of warning; don't sit outside in the front if there is a good swell running & a head wind unless you want to get wet. We learned from experience.

Sydney is famous for its green and yellow ferries ploughing up and down Sydney Harbour. From my experience travelling on hundreds of Sydney's ferries over the years, I find them very reliable. One of my quotes as I race out the door is "the ferries wait for no man" - you have to be on time or they're gone on... More
