Great way to show a USA visitor our lovely harbour and Manly Beach. It is very cost effective too. Not sure if it was because it is Sunday, it was so crowded but orderly.

I love taking the ferry to Manly. So much history to share with little ones as you glide across water. Takes about 15-20 minutes each way. Pleasant ride through the heads on the day we went. I imagine with large swells this could be a...More

I foolishly bought the return ticket for AUD 17.40 from Circular Quay to Manly which costs twice as much as the single ticket at AUD 8.70 at the weekend. I would have expected the return ticket to cost maybe 80% of the sum of two...More

Travelled many times over a week. We found the service and the staff so helpful and courteous. It's so much faster using this service from Manly to Circular Quay. We also used this service to travel to the Taronga Zoo.

Easy to catch and great way to travel across the run to the city or vice versa. A holiday treat for us though love doing it.

We took this ferry with the promise of an hour's sightseeing around Sydney harbour with on board commentary. Firstly the boat itself was in poor condition, secondly the commentary was pre-taped and sometimes did not match the location. The people running the ferry were less...More

The Fast Ferry is more costly (because it is privately owned and, well, faster) than the public ferry, so perhaps you were looking at the price of the public ferry.
