A term probaly used far to much within TA reviews. However, from the corner Oxford st and Oatley rd, looking across the street all you can see, is some posh apartments and a small green space,. However on closer inspection stairs lead down, to a very beautiful garden, that was once an underground reservoir (water supply) for Sydney back in... More

A quiet, beautiful space in the city. A small grassy patch is ideal for picnics or come and relax in one of the comfortable deck chairs.

Gorgeous urban space with a great blend of old and new. Good to see councils retaining local heritage. Make the most of the chairs dotted through out the space to put your feet up and relax for a while.

It's been nicely done but it's certainly not worth a trip. It's just a some gardens, deck chairs and stairs all set in an old, old reservoir from maybe the 1800's. I saw a segment on tv about it.

The claustrophobic lift down to the lower gardens smelt badly of urine. I visited on Friday Jan 6. Maybe maintenance/cleaning staff had not returned to work. So I chose to walk down the stairs. Some less able folk would have had to put up with the horrible lift.

What a beautiful hidden sunken garden. Spent an hour or two here with friends lounging in the shade on the randomly scattered deck chairs, debriefing on the rest of our weekend. Just by chance there was a guy practicing his guitar playing near by. Felt like we were in a Spanish movie!! Unassuming hidden gem, just lovely. Great place to... More

Lovely gardens set in the old reservoir. Space to sit and relax whilst in Paddington. Used as a photo opportunity by many. A great asset to the city from an industrial beginning

Heaps of wedding shoots are done at the Reservoir which gives you a clue. It's gorgeous. It's opposite the library and the chauval picture theatre. It is fun to explore and there are deck chairs and books left for visitors to spread out and enjoy the sunlit gardens. It's below ground level so there is a feeling of privacy and... More
