I jumped off the bus at Spit Bridge and walked through the underpass under the bridge. After that, this became a very enjoyable walk with some really nice views. Almost immediately you pass through the end of a sheltered cove into a fern rich overhang...More

We took this walk after having walked to Manly Beach and Shelly Beach and really enjoyed it. It is a very long walk if you do the whole thing - we did about half of it. One of the locals said she thought it was...More

Went there on a hazy afternoon, still able to enjoy the lovely view at Manly. One can spend hours of quiet time meditating or just enjoy the breeze, another great place for someone to spend time to reach out to nature or read a good...More

Manly is a beautiful suburb of Sydney, part of the Northern Beaches. The beaches are fantastic, plenty of restaurants of all descriptions and several bars. The walk from Manly up to Shelly Beach is a must do. The views are stunning.

Went there by ferry and had a wonderful day. The town itself is pleasant to walk through and the beach is stunning. We walked as far as Split Rock and found the scenery exhilarating. Nice cafes along the way, wild turkeys on the beaches, fascinating...More

4 retirees (the oldest 84) and 4 teens joined in on the beautiful, easily managed stroll between Manly Beach and Shelley Beach. It was a wonderful walk. We particularly enjoyed the sculptures along the way, cleverly positioned in the rocks. Highly recommended if you’re riding...More

We only walked a couple of segments of the walkway but enjoyed it. It's really really steep and uneven in places so you do have to watch your step. Also I wouldn't take small children as there is nothing between you and the rocky drop...More

We've done this walk a couple of times Spit Bridge to Manly and reverse, busing it back to our car. It's a great walk, not difficult with lots of purpose built board walks through the rainforest type foliage. Many great old style homes to view...More

I had done a similar walk at Bondi last year. So, I was eager to try Manly's. I took the ferry from Circular Quay and after I had disembarked, I headed towards Manly Beach for lunch before taking on the fairly easy hike. There were...More

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants

August is a lovely time of the year for walking because it is not too hot. You can wear a jacket or jumper to start off but you will probably find that you take the jumper off once you have walked and warmed up. If it is a... More
