We caught the bus to Spit Bridge and walked all the way to Manly. Well signposted with lots of opportunities to get some fantastic photos. Not an easy walk, very up and down and not a made up path. Finished in Manly, which is a...More

The walk starts in Manly, which is a nice little town to see. It also has a vert nice beach! We traveled by ferry to Manly and on the left entering Manley there are some steps where the walk begins. The first kilometers you see...More

I've lived in Sydney all my life but had never done this walk till last Sunday. We had contemplated bringing my elderly parents as well, but decided to do it on our own first. I'm glad we didn't! Although they've been on long walks with...More

We did the walk in the later afternoon and arrived at the Manly harbour when it was already dark. But this was good. It wasn't too hot anymore, we didn't meet many people but had the good view incl. a beatiful sunset. A must do...More

I lived near this walkway for more years than I care to count and never got tired of it. It breaks down into several doable sections and the entire walk is really a half day well spent but ending up a long way from your...More

I had heard of the Manly Scenic Walkway, after having already done the Bondi to Coogee Walk and wondered if the latter could be bettered. Well, the Manly Scenic Walkway was exactly that! In fact to merely call it scenic is an understatement! I did...More

I wanted to explore North Head and found it easy to follow the signs to North Head. It was great to see the beaches that you don't see over on the ferry. There is a little cafe for a coffee break before continuing on. The...More

Absolutely beautiful views of Manly. You could easily take kids or walk your dog here. If you're doing the Manly to Spit walk it is quite long, so I'd recommend a lot of water and some snacks. Not a ton of rest rooms along the...More

From the moment we boarded the ferry it was a magical day.The vibe is low key and mellow. Plenty of spots for photo ops and friendly shop owners abound. Take the stroll to Manly and continue to Shelly Beach , you will not be disappointed

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants
