some beaches are known for their white sand or fantastic clean waters, but Cooggee has got a nice mix. On a quiet day, the waves are big enough to jump and be entertained but not so big that it attracts surfers. When the swell is...More

I did the Bondi-Coogee walk. I would have not seen this beach otherwise. Reminded me of a mini Bondi. I wouldnt recommend going out here just for the beach. Still get the same crowds as Bondi. So if you are looking for privacy, wouldn't recommend...More

Our favourite beach. Wonderful busy atmosphere with the added bonus of a cliff top walk. Lovely horseshoe with dramatic waves.

Like much of coastline Sydney, Coogee is a contrast of gorgeous beach and a run-down retail strip or two. Crazy property prices, sky-high rents and no doubt silly planning laws, have resulted in the inevitable backpacker mix of cheap booze, crowded cheap cafes and no...More

I've been a volunteer lifeguard at this beach for 3 years now and can confirm that it's a great beach to visit, and relatively quiet compared to beaches like Bondi. Most days the ocean is calm and perfect for all ages to go swimming (given...More

Great swimming beach with vigilant life savers (make sure you swim between the flags), and pleasant surrounds, with lawns behind the beach and on the adjacent headlands, a short walk away (great for picnics). Many eating places and bars also nearby
