Fantastic shopping and good atmosphere. We went here just after Christmas so the mall was beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and ornaments, very beautiful to walk down.

It's Sunday afternoon and you've just set foot in Sydney. Are you staying downtown and don't know where to go? How about some retail therapy? Pitt Street Mall is all you need.

During the week, this is a busy place during office lunchtimes... There is a range of stores including a large Myer. Although the Myer is nothing like it used to be. Not a good range anymore and on the L6 they have an odd "Wonderland" department that did not seem to know what it wanted to be!

Slowly the mall is improving but it is still a soulless place - the street entertainers help but there is no zap - the interests is in the shops off the Mall - it's also too short

We came here to find the Laduree pop up shop in December 2012. When we were out walking we saw a woman with their green bag so we googled and it was in Pitt street mall. Then when we arrived we saw all these crowds gathered. There were Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe on the red carpet for the Sydney... More

What a place.! It was so busy & you could quite easily get like lost here. My husband did ! They serve all sorts of food here from the humble sausage to whatever takes your fancy. The only problem is that the food court is vast with food counters that are within food counters. You could spend a lot of... More

The Pitt St Mall is full of bright exciting shops and there is always a busker or two entertaining the crowd. The downstairs food court has a wide variety of foods from roasts, burgers, salads, sandwiches and some of the well known franchises. Free wifi and plenty of seating.

We stayed in Sydney for 8 days (throughout Christmas) and had visited this place in our walk-around in the city during our free-and-easy time. Well, to summarize the description of this place in a few words will be "A shopping paradise"! Many departmental stores, independent and boutique shops are located at/around this place selling all kinds of products that cater... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
