Vivid Sydney, view from darling harbour. Saturday night, full of peoples who enjoy the colourful lights at night. Dancing water, colourful laser lights all over city of Sydney, so fantastic nights.

I have been dreaming to visit Sydney on vivid, great laser on the opera house and around. Staying around circular quay hotel is the best. Having walk around and back to the hotel room really quick.

What a night. So much to see. Walked from Darling Harbour to the Rocks then Circular Quay and finally around to the Opera house and Botanical Gardens. So many lights and interactive exhibits. This is a must for anyone visiting Sydney in June.

Admittedly it was raining and not a great night for Vivid when we went. One bonus was there was not a lot of people around so we didn't have to deal with huge crowds. Started with a dinner cruise then walked around the city. Having...More

Be sure to take your jackets as this event is held in winter. We had a wonderful night out with the children. Enjoying the botanical gardens display. This is a must see if going to vivid. Very busy though on the weekend. If you can...More

Public transport is as good as usual The crowds especially with the darkness can be downside, but must be accepted for the event to occur each year. So much of the city is now resulting in taking more than one night to see it. thus...More

The crowds are beyond belief wait until later at night and a week night to avoid pram pushers, and large crowds. I would recommend going to the zoo as well as the light display there is great.

This was my first Vivid experience and whilst I thoroughly enjoyed it, I was expecting a little more. We (a group of 12) had the opportunity to view Vivid from a one and a half hour Harbour cruise - which was excellent and gave a...More

Best time of year to visit Sydney in winter is while Vivid is on!! We do it by boat so that we are eye level with the opera house to get a better view and really, who doesn't love a boat ride!!

I know you're asking about a cruise... And please excuse me if I'm overstepping my mark... However... I'd recommend going in on a weekday and walking around. It's way less busy. I've heard positive and negative about... More
