Caught the ferry to go to Watsons Bay for lunch. After lunch ended up walk around the bay in beautiful weather there were plenty of people there but it wasn't crowded. We walked up to the Gap and around the headland for a great view of the heads. We are ex Sydney siders so the views of the harbour and... More

We went to have lunch and ended up having dinner. The restaurant that we wanted to eat at closes at 3:00 and doesn't reopen until 5:00. No worries we had a walk around and a drink next door. Not a lot to do but worth a visit.

We were expecting a nice beach with a view of the bay. The beach is extremely small and the bay can be viewed from the park anyway. The best part about this place is the ferry ride to get there.

As iconic as ever, the beaches were clean and covered in gulls looking for morsels of food to eat. Some nice photo opportunities at sunset.

You can drive but frankly catching the ferry is more fun. Situated by the south head you can wander around the walks and cliff tops to see views of both the harbour and the ocean. There's a bit of left over history from the war (look outs and naval bases) as well as an old light house to visit. After... More

I took one of the Sydney ferries over to Watson's Bay. It stops at Rose Bay on the way (the Australian Open golf championship was on when I was there). On exit you arrive at a lovely beach - full of people and boats on a sunny Sunday afternoon. There is a great walk that takes you past a couple... More

Have just spent a few hours at Watson Bay after having it recommended to me. I was not disappointed... did the coastal walk to the lighthouse.. the views were wonderful. it was peaceful not too touristy. Had coffee in Dunbar House sitting on the terrace over looking the park area. Thoroughly enjoyable

Watson's bay is a thirty minute ferry ride from Circular Quay. have a meal at one of the many restaurants or simply sit on the beach and enjoy the day. It is a very busy place on the weekends, so if you have the chance to visit mid week, it is definitely worth the visit

Easily accessed by one of the ferries from Circular Quay, millionaires homes are built along one side of the bay, with an attractive sandy beach on the other side. Many make the trip here to eat at Doyles Restaurant. If you want an outside table, with a view of the bay, do remember to make a reservation. For a cheaper... More

Watson's Bay was visited by us after seeing Manly and paled in many ways in comparison. The restaurant was excellent and the views from the nearby South Head were great. It is a long trip by car, and would most likely be more interesting by ferry.
