Spent a beautiful sunny day walking through the Gardens and taking in the view of the Opera House. The Gardens are fabulous. We are so lucky to have these beautiful places to visit in our capital cities.

walked from the opera house around to Macquaries chair then through the gardens. was a nice sunny day, lots of people doing the same but didn't feel crowded. sculptures in the park and varied trees/plants give plenty of things to look at.

A wander around this iconic area is well worth any visitor to Sydney. Views to Fort Denison, The Man o'War steps in the forecourt and a photo op on the iconic steps of the Operahouse all put this precinct on the map for any visitor

You should be able to do all that in the morning. There are tours of the opera house you might not have time for if you want to wander around the gardens longer - but they are all right in the same place, so if you have an... More

April in Sydney is Autumn : it's warm but not as hot as in the summer months. Very nice for walking about. Expect daytime temperatures around 20°C (68°F) cooling down at night to 15°C (58°F) .
