Of all the walks in Sydney I think this is the best - it follows the shore line along from the Opera House to the Botanic Gardens, is all level, and the Botanic Gardens arewise a great place to visit. If I could only do...More

We walked this route on a baking hot day. There was plenty of shade and toilets and a cafe on the way. Even pushing my daughter in a wheelchair, it was a very pleasant way to spend a morning.

A trip to Sydney is incomplete without walking along the waterfront. The view of the opera house and the bridge is stunning.

You should be able to do all that in the morning. There are tours of the opera house you might not have time for if you want to wander around the gardens longer - but they are all right in the same place, so if you have an... More

April in Sydney is Autumn : it's warm but not as hot as in the summer months. Very nice for walking about. Expect daytime temperatures around 20°C (68°F) cooling down at night to 15°C (58°F) .
