It has been years since I attended Belvoir and I got back there this weekend past to take my parents to see the play for JASPER JONES (one of my all time favourite books). The play was sublime and brilliantly acted and the venue was as good as I remember, the seats aren't the best and the foyer does get... More

Not every traveller goes to the theatre (though they should-how better to experience a community and it's culture than by hearing its stories). If, like me, you search out theatre when on holidays then you cannot miss a production at Belvoir. To be clear Sydney is my home and in my home Belvoir is the best theatre to be had.... More

We never lose the passion and excitement as the lights dim and the actors materialise out of the dark. This theatre consistently engages Oz's most prominent playwrights, directors actors and designers. Looking towards participating ringside for Prize Fighter for a rare theatrical combo of storytelling pared with the thrill of live boxing in adrenaline-pumping, full contact theatre

Leah Purcell has re-imagined and varied Henry Lawson's tale "The Drover's Wife" and stars in this production. The acting (5 actors in all) is excellent, the storyline very convincing and in parts, confronting. If you enjoy live theatre, don't miss this rivetting production.

We enjoy our local theaters at home in Atlanta and were very impressed with the quality of the performances in the Drover's Wife. As for the general theater experience: getting to the theater by train (Central Station) was very easy and we felt safe in the area. Drinks available pre performance and the preassigned seats were comfortable. Overall a wonderful... More

Call me spoilt, but I love Belvoir Street because it's like having the actors play just for you when you go to a play because its such an intimate theatre. Shakespeare's Twelfth Night (Or what you will) was our play this time - the actors and audience thoroughly enjoyed themselves - the wit was sparkling, the acting exquisite - from... More

Looking for something to do on a Friday night in Sydney and came across a play called Back at the Dojo at the Belvoir Street Theatre. Wasn't sure what to expect. What we experienced was a well written play performed by exceptional actors which made for a very enjoyable evening. Next time we visit Sydney we will check it out.

Who would have thought that a play about youth suicide would have you cheering? Belvior Theatre produces new Australian plays which can be confronting, though provoking and funny. Taking out a subscription is a good way to keep involved and see plays which perhaps you might have missed. The most recent play, The Tribe, was one where the audience met... More

We saw a great production of Jasper Jones at this lovely, intimate theatre in Sydney. It's a fine theatre and has a varied and interesting programme through the year. Go if you enjoy theatre- we've never been disappointed
