The location can't be beat. Many animals to see and the crocodile is scary! This is a good place to spend the afternoon!

You must visit this zoo if you are from Europe or America. Plenty of original and local animals that u cannot see in many zoos. I saw kangaroo, koala, tasmanian devil, cockatoo and some snakes for the first time. Easy to reach sections. Food section is a bit weak.

This was a very nice experience, but the Kuola was not cooperative in photo ops. Most of the time they would sleep with their backs turned to the tourist so getting a front shot was near impossible. the kangaroo's were a bit more friendly if you brought food for them. Kangaroo's really like ice-cream cones more than the grass feed... More

We only had a half of day and this Wild Life zoo was perfect! It was not too large and we were able to see everything. They have a great variety of animals. Perfect location on Darling Harbor.

We brought the 5 attractions pass online to go to the aquarium but were not going to go to the zoo as we thought it was the big zoo across the harbor and didn't think we would have time, we were pleasantly surprised to see the wild life zoo was on Darling Harbour!! We had a great few hours spent... More

I took my twin 4 years olds to check out this city zoo and was really surprised how good it was. You get up close and personal with lots of Aussie animals and it really is a good size for kids. After an hours visit they also loved sitting and chilling out at the cafe tables right next to the... More

Great for a day out in Sydney, lots of furry and not so furry creatures to look at or touch if you feel so inclined. We saw crocodiles, koalas, kangaroos, snakes, lizards, wombats, Tassie devils, birds and butterflies :-) We had a nice lunch up at the Koala sanctuary, service was a tad slow but the food was good when... A very small zoo down at Darling harbor. Shows a snapshot of Australian animals. You can walk thru less than an hour. You have a chance to pet the kangaroo

Booked a 2 hour guided tour with a member of the Taronga zoo staff, Becky. Highly recommend this tour thru Viator. My husband and I boarded the ferry in the morning for the 12 min. ride to the zoo. The morning was spent touring the various animal habitats and then at 2pm we began the tour with Becky. She gave... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighbourhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
