Its a short drive from town & there is a cafe for coffee or lunch. Nice picnic grounds as well. We took the tour & the guide was very informative with the history of the beginning of the telegraph station being instrumental in the opening...More

Excellent walking and bike tracks will lead you to the telegraph station from the town. Hire a bike when you get there to explore further afield. The buildings are in good shape, and the reserve is very pleasant for a game of slack rope, football...More

It is possible how fit, time and willingness to do so. I would take a car or at least bicycle, taking into distance, weather... Cheers
