By fare the best manor museum I have been to in Denmark. Their exebitions are so detailed and alive. I visited in December and all the rooms was decorated for Christmas with spruce branches and real lit candles. The rooms are beautiful.

you must se the manor house at this museum, lots to look at and some in very good condition. Remember to have coffee at the cafe

Gammel Estrup is a very interesting museum - a mixture of a manor museum and an agricultural museum. It is quite large, so set aside at least half a day to get through all the interesting stuff.

These two families owned the manor for 600 years. I recommend to visit Auning church as part of the trip since the museum and the church are connected in many ways. Free entrence on Fridays.
