Absolutely a must if in Darwin during the dry season. Everything you would expect from a great market plus the amazing beach sunset.

The markets are a true Darwin dry season experience. Go down, check out the stalls, grab some food and go to watch the sunset on the beach with the hundreds of other people.

The Markets are pretty good. Lots to look at and choose from to eat. Markets usually have cheaper food but not here....the food is really expensive! I used to love the pork hocks here although they were $9 each but now they're around $12 each. For 1 hock! Rediculous. The Thai laksas are pretty good here tho and descently priced.... More

I preferred the smaller Malak Markets (introduced to me by my Darwin friends) in terms of overall feel and atmosphere but Mindil is definitely worth checking out. The fruit smoothies... More

Lovely relaxing family evening out, main attraction is the vast array of food stalls, multi-cultural delights, so much to choose from. Browse the market stalls and take in the breathtaking setting right on the beach in beautiful tropical Darwin. Only open in the dry season, be sure to visit Mindil Beach markets when in Darwin, spectacular!!

While we were at the market a guy sang and later another guy had a performing dog, the guy did more performing than the dog but it was quite entertaining. The sunset on the beach was beautiful and the food was great. We caught the local bus in Cavanagh St at the back of Woolworths. A bus runs to Mendil... More
