Close to Darwin centre the park provides a nice view over Darwin City & harbour. Tropical bush that meets the mangroves. Some short walks & a few bicycle tracks. Features a number of WW2 ammunition bunkers, incl one that is open with a small display.

The bunkers in the park are a must. Very informative and well kept with numerous artefacts. Each bunker can be visited by driving up to them and parking at the front. Ideal for those less able.

The display in the one open bunker was an excellent account of the bombing of Darwin. Nice to be able to overlook the city .

We expected a board walk in the mangroves but instead could only find a short walk on a sealed path. The bird life was good and fortunately we had insect repellent so we could stop and view the birds. A red winged parrot stayed around...More
