From big incoming tides to land locked options, Micky has a great fishing knowledge and I would recommend Spring Tide Fishing Safaris for various day trip adventures; whether targeting both Bluewater or freshwater options. Unfortunately the fishing was slow but he put us on to two big Barra!

The trip delivered everything!!!travel book sunrise, excellent knowledge of captain and unbelievable natural environments to be out in.
Powerful boat, comfortable seats!! But most important....fishing!!he only takes small groups so no tangles and shares his knowledge and taught me lure fishing.
My partner caught his first barramundi ever!! Actually he caught two...it was a dream trip for him: the skipper just happened to start playing his favourite artist Jimmy Buffet on the stereo and next thing you know he reeled in a 62cm Barra!!!
They provided beautiful oranges and boiled eggs as snacks to keep our energy up and plenty of cold water and nice meat and salad rolls for lunch.
He cleaned and filets the fish and we ate them for dinner!!!it just doesn't get better.
Great value for money and I recommend it to anyone.
No toilet on board ,I was happy to do a "bush wee" off the back ladder as instructed otherwise he would take you back in shore which would waste an hour.
Blokes didn't have a problem.
NT is an amazing place to holiday in even though it is hot and stormy every afternoon the "build up season " is a great experience and good for fishing if you know what your doing or with a guide

Went out for a one day trip for Barramundi in October 2016 with SpringTideSafaris. Micky is a nice person. However, I was not happy with the day out and with his communications at all. First I asked him about a spinning setup - Unfortunately he only brought two spinning sets that were used by the other two guys on the boat already. Second, I was told we meet at 6.30am and get back by 4.30pm. Eventually we at 7.30am and fishing ended quite early. We were back at 2.30pm. Third, I did book the tour because I expected a lot more of casting for barra with only a little bit of trolling. It was rather the opposite. Fishing was very slow that day but neither did Micky try out different lures or any other spot. We just went for trolling for most of the time.

Catch Rate: 4 people on the boat caught 2 barras -- while trolling.

Micky was very prompt in picking us up and getting us out on the boat, however we managed to catch zero fish (we understand this can happen sometimes), however we all felt he didnt do enough for us to even catch 1 between us by trying different lures or spots. It was also full moon night before which we felt meant the fish werent even out making noise let along biting. Would of been value for $$ if we felt we had every possibility to catch fish

Started from Darwin to go fishing out at Shady Camp was a great idea to kill a day. Micky, the guide was so very helpful toward me learning how to catch my first Bara. Being a beginner, I always like to listen to learn and teach down the track to my kids, one day.. The high light of the day for me was seeing a 4.5 meter croc who looked like it could eat me in one gulp

My wife and I have always wanted to fish Darwin on many previous visits here.
Springtide Safaris was recommended by the Tourist Info Centre.
Micky was only to happy to take us out for a half day trip when others wouldn't.
A cold beer on the trip back ended a great morning out. We will be back for the real

Just got back from an extended charter with Micky who took care of everything and put us on the fish. It was a great week with the boys and the fishing was insane!
We caught 30 Barramundi over 90 cm, with 6 of these over 1 metre and the biggest at 117cm!!! I still can't believe the fishing.
Expectations exceeded.

yes we caught a barra - a 1m long one and it was fun when we were reeling it in.
We went to shady camp - was a long way about 2 hours but we knew that when we were staying in darwin that we would need to do commute out.
Was a fun day out we saw heaps of crocs as well
Lunch was included but it was very average - had I known I would have bought my own
