Great place to cool off not far out of Darwin
Refreshing fresh water springs about 60km from Darwin city. Take your bathers, towel, goggles, thongs and a picnic lunch. A very pleasant spot to while away a few pleasant hours. Toilets available and sometomes a kiosk will be open selling locally made ice creams. Highly recommended

    A worthy stop
A nice springs and easy to access. There is a big step at the bottom but I think you could find a way around it. You can float from one pool to another. We were standing under the water fall where there were draughts of hot and then cold water. There are lovely picnic areas with tables and a kiosk where you can purchase simple food items.

Relaxing place to cool off and chill out
The perfect place to cool off after a big day! We stopped in here after a day exploring Litchfield, and we're so glad we did. Massive, crystal clear swimming holes with perfect temperatures to relax. Massive grassed area to picnic and kiosk on site. There are 2 pools, large upper and slightly smaller lower. Both offer ladders/steps to easily access. You can also enter upper pool and let the gentle current take you to the lower pool via a narrow stream surrounded by ferns and Pandana Trees. So relaxing!

    Yobbos !
Fun spot for a swim. Unfortunately we had a mob of yobbos there drinking beer as they swam. I doubt they used the facilities. Lovely spot for a swim and a relax. Not far out of Darwin by car. Take a floatie with you. Its free with good parking. Nice spot for a BBQ/picnic.

One of the best swimming holes in Northern Territory. Does get a bit crowded but it is only 45 minutes from Darwin
Fantastic spot. Amazing pools linked by tree lined tunnels. Why this spot not listed in NT ten best spots for swimming. I think Darwin locals trying to keep it secret. Secrets out now lol.

Thoroughly enjoyed the swimming springs, access into the spring. Good view and great to relax in the water. I would take food and drinks next time and if you have one take a swimming noodle although you can hire one cheaply for a very small fee.

This was the perfect place to easily spend 4 hours driving back from Litchfield to Darwin. The water was warm and some sections you can stand up or even sit down in if you’re not a good swimmer, You can hire pool noodles for $3 which I highly recommend. The homemade passionfruit ice cream from the little kiosk was delicious too. Plenty of shady space for a picnic.

We went for a quick look at the Springs - our timing was perfect (around 10am) as it wasn't busy.. Swimming is lovely with the water temperature tepid. Swim around the corner to the small waterfall for a change of scenery. Recommend you bring a pool noodle to float on otherwise it's pretty tiring keeping yourself afloat. The bbq areas nearby are lovely, with plenty of bbqs and shade and grass. A really nice place to spend a day with the kids.

My family and I visited Berry Springs in the second week of May 2022. We were so looking forward to having a swim in the crystal waters after leaving Litchfield Park where Wangi Falls was closed due to potential crocodiles (entering the pools during the wet season. To our surprise, Berry Springs was also closed for the same reason so all we could do is look at it from afar. We heard on the media two days later that Berry Springs was reopened for swimming two days after we visited. Back timing for us as this was on high on our must visit list and to swim in the pristine waters. If we were able to swim there, no doubt we would have rated it 5 out of 5. Enjoy!

Really pretty conservation park with beautiful waterholes (fed by warm springs). Nice picnic areas and walking trails (if you're heat and humidity resistant!). We entered at the top waterhole and drifted down to the lower (third) one on a day when there weren't too many people there, so it was a wonderful experience. I imagine that it can get a bit crowded, but we were there in peak holiday season, so maybe not. The waterholes are pretty big, so can accommodate a lot of people without ruining the experience, I should think. Only a 50km drive out of Darwin, and close to the Territory Wildlife Park, so I would suggest visiting both (Wildlife Park first, then relax at the Springs). A must-do if staying in Darwin.

Just an absolute jewel for Darwin. Less than an hour out of Darwin and very easy to drive too. If the car park is full then it is very busy, but very much a wonderful experience. The water is warm, the dragonflies are spectacular and the water is crystal clear! A must for anyone visiting Darwin.

A beautiful swimming hole. It is really strange to feel the contrast between the warmer and cooler drafts of water that float through. We sat on the rocks for a while and had small fish cleaning the skin off the bottom of our feet. Once you get over the initial shock it is really quite pleasant.

We loved visiting the springs and just floating around for a few hours in the warm water. You can float from the waterfall to the lower springs if you want to. Lots of people were using pool noodles. You can also buy or hire them from the kiosk which is open from 11pm until 3pm. There are metal stairs to help you getting in and out of the water.

I think you could easily spend a whole day here. There are BBQ and picnic facilities and three separate swimming areas. The water is warm as it's fed from an underground spring unlike the Litchfield water holes, so it's quite nice and would be good at any time of the day. There is minimal current, especially at the lower pool. I think this is more family friendly and better suited to less confident swimmers and at the water's edge is reasonably shallow for adults. A perfect way to start a day, we fell in love with this place!

The top pool is smallish and shallow with a little waterfall that you can duck behind. You can then float downstream which ends up in a large pool. There are boulders that you need to float over where care is needed but they are covered with moss so easy to just slide over gently. The large pool is fab for swimming. Lots of people had pool noodles which can also be hired from the little kiosk. Great areas for picnicing.
