Beautiful setting. Such an excellent way to spend a few hours so close to the city. Walkabout creek visitors centre is informative, engaging and entertaining with the opportunity to get up close and personal to native wildlife with a ranger led tour. There is a cafe at the centre that serves good food and is reasonably priced. Really worth a... More

The parks is well maintained with plenty of tables and good toilet facilities. Parking is adequate and there are some interesting walks. You can always enjoy the many birds in the park.

A lovely leisurely drive along a beautiful rain forest setting. Very close to Brisbane and a cute local coffee shop for a little rest stop to break your trip for the drive home.

Fantastic! One of the lookouts, on the LHS as u come down the mountain, didn't just have a great view, but a concert of bell birds singing in the background, surreal!

Not too far from Brisbane city, this park has a lovely lake where you can swim and canoe. Many bike riders also use it as well as runners. Picnic facilities are available, but there is a cafe where the hot chocolate is great if you don;t want to bring your own.

This park has everything, numerous hiking and bike trails, swimming at Enoggera Reservoir and quiet picnic areas. The Mount Nebo Road past the main ranger station is steep, winding and is very popular with motorbike riders so concentration is important when driving. For a family day out within easy reach of Brisbane this is ideal.
