Anzac square is a grassed area where solumn commemoration of fallen soldiers can be respected along with a quiet oasis in the centre of brisbane city. Lunch time crowds sit to eat, chat and take in older surrounding buildings. Recently work has been completed on the shrine and flame area.

Very dignified and appropriate memorial to the ANZAC soldiers and a little haven of peace right outside the main entrance to the Railway Station. Stop a while and say thank you to those who went before. There's a museum underneath to while away an hour or two and learn more about the ANZAC history.

Every Australian Capital City and several towns across the country have ANZAC War Memorials which honor military personnel going back to World War 1 over a century ago. Brisbane's Memorial in ANZAC Square is a beautiful one which captures the solemn occasion of paying tribute to fallen soldiers. Located in the heart of the city and easily accessible by Public... Within the hustle & bustle of Brisbane City, Anzac Square memorial & parkland offers the chance to sit back, relax and reflect; whilst paying tribute to those that made the greatest sacrifice.

My wife and I visited Anzac Park after a recommendation from a friend. The park has statues dedicated to our war past and expanses of green lawn. There is a rail station access from the park and just located in that entrance are two mini museums dedicated to WW1 & WW2, and post WW2 (Darwin bombings). These are free entry.... More

This is a great park only 5 minutes from the Queen St mall shopping plaza area. Good to spend time and reflect or just enjoy the sunshine and open air. A few city workers seemed to be enjoying a break/eating lunch, that sort of thing. The gardens are lovely and it is all very clean and well kept.

A beautiful memorial to those who served and perished in the two World Wars. Australia is proud of its vets and they role they played, and they have not forgotten.

The place was clean the plants were well feed. The pigeons seemed to be not around much. It was weekday lunch time so it was a little busy but there were a few places to sit and relax.

Great place to reflect. Beautiful grounds. Could spend hours sitting and enjoying the surrounds. Always wreaths at the eternal flame.
