Manly in Brisbanes Bayside is a fabulous place to spend a weekend or a Sunday, excellent selection of coffee shops, restaurants and picnic areas by the water. All overlooking the biggest marina in Queensland. There are markets each weekend and outdoor movies once a month. Also the location of the ferry tours to historical St Helena island.

You drive through suburbia and then past some delightful shops to the end of the road to be embraced by a marina where masts of yachts look like toothpicks . The number is too difficult to calculate! The ambience here on the Esplanade is fantastic and the scenery is a boaties haven.

Even though it's a bit of a hike away from Brisbane City, it's definitely worth a drive to spend a couple of hours out by the seaside. The weekend markets along the waterfront park are nice and quaint and worth a stroll, full of interesting stalls and some great food. I love being by the ocean and it's so nice... More

I love to come out this way with visitors, it's a lovely way to pass a sunny day watching the boats in the harbour and get fish & chips and sit on a bench watching the world go by as you eat. It's something I like to do regularly so this trip was no exception as I brought my interstate... More

In need of a change in the layout and the type of shopping. Very boring and outdated. .....great position.

We took a train out of Brisbane. The young woman in the station office was really helpful when I asked directions to the swimming pool. She got out a map and took time to explain the best way to walk. It was only 800m through suburban streets. The houses were nice to look at as we walked along. Then the... More

My cousin took my wife and I our to Manly Boat Harbour while we were visiting on holiday from NZ. The harbour and boats are quite impressive themselves and the views stunning. My cousin then took us out sailing on a 45 footer boat. Wow! No swells and just enough of a breeze. We had an incredible experience. Have a... More

We travelled to Manly, a community by the sea, south-east of the Brisbane CBD, on a beautiful, warm Sunday afternoon and took in all the local sights - you can find something for most tastes in the Manly Harbour Village - live music, great food and a genuine "holiday" atmosphere. A short drive from the Brisbane CBD, Manly is a... More

I have been here many times. First time more than 20 years ago, before the 'iron' was built to block the harbour view The character changed, more business and busy However it still is a very nice place to be.
