Mowbray Park is located along Lyntton Rd East Brisbane. It is a large family friendly park offering good facilities such as barbecues, bikeways,,toilets, taps, and an excellent children's playground. There is plenty of shade from the beautiful trees including very large and old Moreton Bay Figs which all add to the parka charm. The shade is supplemented by shade sails. A City Cat Ferry... More

Mostly unused this park is part of queensland colonial past and is a must if you're a local history buff. Iy has beatiful.old moreton bay fig trees that would ovetwhelm a house block but in this park they spread majestically unconcerned by their own size. There is a bowls club one corner thereby ensuring there is a regular visitor stream.... More

This park has terrific play equipment for children. It is a boat theme and covered with a shade sail and there are benches for sitting on. There are 4 swings and 4 slides. It is near the river and the city cats come and go which is very enjoyable to watch. There is no fence to stop children running to... More

We took a serve of fish and chips over to this park. It sits on the river with a ferry terminal next to a busy road. The car park seemed full but we realised it was probably people using the ferry. Car access is tricky to find. Once in, it is a lovely little park with a long history. There... More

Mowbray Park is understated, but has everything for a weekend family picnic or barbecue. There is a lot of lawn space for the children, plenty of shade, and it has a ferry stop. It's wise to avoid it on weekdays - the parking areas are full with ferry commuters' vehicles.

I have been passing this park since 1961 and there has been no appreciable improvement in amenity over all this time as compared to other public areas.

The kids love the playground surrounded by lots of shade. They can play and watch the boats on the river and when you are hungry you can get fish and chips from Fish 53, which is only across the road from the park. Ferry trips from the park are popular, as is lots of good path ways for skate boarding... More

Not sure why this woudl be considered a place to visit, there is an OK view of the city better ones else where - I wouldn't go here especally except to get a ferry, which you can get anywhere along the river. Surrounding venues are not worth much either.

Nice Park with river views and plenty of space. But you are in Brisbane... New farm park and Botanic Gardens are far superior.
