Excellent walking trails. Well maintained. Great place to bring your dog for a walk. and must admit, people taking care of the Oxley Creek keep the area in a very pristine condition.

Oxley Creek Common entails an environment centre, some historical structures and a 5km round trip walk along a path alongside Oxley Creek. The walk is flat on a wide formed gravel path, suitable for bikes, young children, and "off-road" prams. It ends at the hoop pine forest. The round trip takes about 1-2 hours. A lot of bird life can... More

It's an easy long walk, children can take their bicycles as it's all flat and it might take a bit of encouragement to get them to the Secret Forest. Being surrounded by scrub and mangroves gives it a feeling of being out in the country.

Great place to see many wonderful birds. You have the chance of seeing over 170 species of birds. Will visit again for sure.

We have driven past this SO many times, never knowing what we were missing! Lots of picnic tables, most under cover, clean and copious facilities, a jetty into Oxley Creek. See the sculptured water markers of the flood level up so high, then see the rusted drum ten metres high stuck in the tree by pelican island. Admire the green... More

Enjoyed a great walk today. Had to get out of the house as kids were getting cabin fever due to days of rain and wind. Was great to stretch our legs and see Pelicans in the suburbs. Great for dog walking.

Oxley Creek Common is a great place in Brisbane South for bird watching and photography. It follows Oxley Creek along for quiet a distance, then branches out to some lagoons. Early morning, just as the sun rises is a great time, many species of birds can be seen. One of the better birding spots around Brisbane There are picnic facilities... More

Great spot to take the kids on there bikes and dog friendly too, with an off the leash park. Popular with bird watchers. 5km return walk to the secret forest. Bbq, picnic tables and amenities. There is also an access ramp to launch your canoe into Oxley creek

Situated between Sherwood & Rocklea, the car park is situated well off the road. A large covered benches-&tables seating area nearby with bbq area & electrical point to boil your kettle. (& even a water tap) 'pit' toilets (can get a little smelly in summertime!) & washbasins also under same roof. A nice flat walking path is popular with doggie... More
