All visitors and to do the rounds Lake Eacham and Barrine. If time permits also head to Malanda and Millaa Millaa for beautiful falls.

This was a tour which visited Lake Barrine, Milla Milla Falls, Fig Curtain Tree, Babina Boulders and Paronella Park. Quite a long day but the scenery in the tablelands is very pleasant and a nice change from the rainforest or bush.

So wonderful and particularly in the Yungaburra area. The crater lakes and the Curtain Fig tree is awesome. Love the platypus viewing and the walk down Petersen Creek.

We went to Atherton Tablelands on our way from Mission Beach to Cairns. It is a very attractive and diverse route reminding me to regions in southern Germany or Switzerland. If you go from Brisbane to Cairns it is a nice variation compared to the sugarcane areas along Bruce Highway. We have visited the waterfalls route and have seen Zillie... More

We did two day trips to the tablelands, both equally worth it. There are so many waterfalls and walks to choose from that it is easy to spend more than one day. Especially the Millaa Millaa waterfall was great and one can swim behind the water curtain!

We set off early 7am hoping to stop somewhere on the way for coffee but unfortunately nothing was open until 9am. We drove via Kuranda and headed for Lake Barrine. Coffee and lovely hot scones with jam and cream felt a bit decadent at 9am but we walked around the lake (5k) so didn't feel too bad. Saw lots of... More

Whether you go on a self guided or organized tour it is well worth a trip from Cairns. So much to see and do, but if time is limited a train ride up to Kuranda and the cable car back down is definitely a must.

Had a great day out viewing the many beautiful lakes and waterfalls of Queensland. Our tour was operated by Barefoot Tours and Tom the tour guide was great fair play. Got us all to introduce ourselves on the bus meaning we immediately became friends in our group. Went swimming in all the lakes which was great and also had lovely... More
