Fantastic day. We went up on cable car and down on railway. Did the boardwalk at Redleaf Station. We were lucky enough to be able to join guided walk with Indigenous ranger Jeremy. Could have listened to his stories all day!! Walked around Kurunda for...More

Travel up in morning by train and down by skyrail cable car in afternoon. Great photography from the train - very relaxing and popular outing. You need to book

Just do the skyrail. You get a fantastic aerial view of the rainforest and it's not too long either! Great view points along the way of baron gorge. However, the train is quite tedious.

SKYRAIL is a must to do in Cairns. You can catch the gondola that takes you across the top of the rainforest and gives you some awesome views of Cairns and surrounding areas. There are three stops along the way, The first stop is Red...More

We went up to Kuranda on the Sky Rail which is a cable car. The deluxe ticket lets you travel in a cable car with a partly glass floor: don't think it is worth the extra money. You can get out part way up and...More

Wih kids in their twenties, it's hard to find activities that are fun for all. This was one of them. We all enjoyed it. The time in Kuranda sort of drags, so I would suggest the trekking or butterfly sanctuary rather than just hanging around...More

It didn't meet our expectations and all the hype. We were the fourth person in the queque to get our pre- book kuranda train ticket, waiting for more than 1/2 hour for the booth to open and we got the seat next to the aisle...More

This is a really terrific way to see the sights in a neat package. You can do the Railway trip first and come down on the Skyrail, or vice versa, but we were advised to do the former, and to be honest, I think it...More

It's for the bus between the railway station and the skyrail depot where your car is. It's a fair distance away.

We did Skyrail up and train down which I think is the most popular combination. Skyrail is one way not to miss.

I would suggest you check for tours to the Daintree Rainforest. It isn't far from Cairns, so you should be able to find one that suits the limited time you will have in the area.
