We joined local tour to visit the waterfalls, Tablelands and the Spanish Castle, Paronella Park. waterfalls are crystal-clear and beautiful. We love the Paronella Park most. The tour included guided tour in Paronella Park. The tour guide told us about the background of the park. It was the founder's dream to build a castle and how he made his dream... More

Beautiful scenery, fantastic waterfalls and great walking tracks. Best way to see the area is to hire a car and drive yourself, this way you get to stay longer at areas you like and go to other areas that aren't on the tours.

We drove south to Babinda Boulders and then to Josephine Falls and followed the Waterfalls Circuit. Each place is slightly different but all are beautiful, with Josephine Falls being our favourite. That's the one where you can slide down the rocks of the waterfall, landing in the pond part at the bottom. One hint ... if you have a springsuit... More

Very busy 6 days in Cairns during July school hols. Expected lots of families out enjoying the perfect weather and they were, although everything was still available, even the Kuranda rail and Sky rail which we didn't book ahead but still got tickets on the day. Our itinerary was as follows: Day 1: Couldn't pick up our rental vehicle till... More

This is one of the most fascinating attractions I have ever encountered. It has everything - history, magic, romance and foresight. Our photos are beautiful and you can imagine what Jose envisaged when he bought the land to build his castle on. The guide did a fantastic job of telling the story of a man way before his time and... ... especially the Josephine falls which were our favourite! Only takes an hour to see all the waterfalls and the Babinda boulders. Hire a car and do it yourself.

If you are visiting the Tablelands, make sure you go to the beautiful Millaa Millaa Falls. Very easy access for all, and you can picnic there and swim.

The natural attractions were phenomenal. The climate and flora and fauna are different than on the coast. We checked out many of the waterfalls. We spent the day driving from Cairns to Townsville. The roads are in good shape. We stopped at the Gallo Dairy for snacks and to buy some cheese. Atherton is quaint and worth a stop.

We drove to the very top of the Atherton Tablelands, meandered around , had a yummy curry and pea pie from the bakery in Ravenshoe then visited a relative. Returned to Cairns on a different route. ..equally as scenic as the drive up. There are so many attractions on the way. .eg. Milla Milla Falls.
