The night market was good and definitely somewhere you need to visit while you are in cairns but the stalls are all very samey samey to similar markets in the nearby area and personality the markets in Port Douglas were better. There are some really...More

I had some crappy chinese food here, but there's a wide selection of food (seafood, vietnamese food, churros, smoothies, chinese, etc). There's your typical souvenir shops, but I never felt like I was being ripped off. Great place to find anything you may want before...More

It for sure a must go while in Cairns, in this market you can find food and souvenirs. They are a bit pricey, but it is ok.

So many cheap and tacky souvenirs. Unfortunately it’s nothing like it used to be with genuine Australian products. The stalls are full of items that have no quality. Please bring back the essence of the original market

A couple of excellent stalls, but most pretty average stuff for tourists. There is one stall selling bamboo clothing and leather goods which is excellent. I bought a great fitting pair of bamboo jeans ($65), shirt, sox and underwear. Try the jeans and shirts to...More

If your interested in grabbing a few souvenirs or curiosities, then pop in to the Night Markets on the esplanade It has a great selection of Asian food and is popular with locals and tourists alike.

Good selection of Asian food and fish-n-chips at the food court. Chinese hot pot at one end and the Vietnamese noodle shop at the other end the least wasteful (plastic, styrofoam, etc) and offer good food and generous portions. No shortage of kitschy souvenirs.

The Night markets are still a very popular place for many locals and tourists. The food court is packed with people every night. Mainly Asian food choices, that seem popular with everyone. The food places have the food piled amazingly high in their bain maries....More

I thought the markets would be a lot bigger. a lot of the stalls had the same items for sale. still if you want cheap affordable souvenirs then this is the place to get them.
