Decided to go out on a boat, well this was something different.. we had a running commentary all the way covering all sorts of information, the survival of the mangrove very interesting, the we saw a very large crocodile which I managed to get on film, we also had food and drink on board, the only thing that irked was... This cruise is a great way to see the estuaries around Port Douglas, the captain Lucas was great and very knowledgable of the area. You also get drink and nibbles on board. We were promised a 90 % chance of seeing some crocs and he didn't disappoint with a large 4mtr male which was only a few hundred meters away... More

My family and I really enjoyed the river cruise. The complimentary drink was a nice touch as were the snacks. Drew was a great Captain, very informative. Unfortunately the crocodile wasn't up for showing him or herself, we caught a glimpse of the eyes and a bit of snout resting just above the water, Drew tried his best to entice... More

We did the new tour, "Icons of Port Douglas" which consists of a cruise down the river on Lady Douglas, lunch at Choo Choos @ St Crispens Station, and a steam train ride on the Bally Hooley.... or in reverse order and only on Sundays. The cruise was good with good commentary and sights. Food and a beverage were also... More

The couple who run it are fantastic people, the boats old but charming as are the views. It's all together not overly glamorous but it's suits my taste well. Your not garanteed to see any crocs but the chances are good. Being among the mangroves & learning about the area is very enjoyable non the less!

We went for the 4.30pm cruise. The tour host were very friendly and didnt rush. The place was clean well kept. We had a very relaxing 1.5hr. Commentary was great with good humor. The complimentry drink was nice and the choice of nibbles satisfying. Going out was sunny, coming back we got to see the sun set. Highly recommend this... More

This is a real hidden gem of a tour in Port Douglas. Cruise up the river for an hour and a half on a converted paddle boat, gentle slow looking around with a drink and some snacks included. You may even see a few crocodiles. For a better chance of seeing a crocodile, so the cruise at low tide. The... More

We decided to tour with Lady Douglas, purely due to the location. It was fantastic! Lucas had so much local knowledge & a great Aussie sense of humour! Nikki was an amazing, friendly host & she did a great job of serving us all a cold beverage to start the tour! We were worried we wouldn't see any crocs... but... More

We enjoyed our one and a half hour cruise around the back waters of Port Douglas, and the harbour. Lucas the driver provided a knowledgable commentary, and was quite entertaining. A very cold alchoholic drink or softbdrink is included. We saw one crocodile sunning itself.
