A bit dated but getting a new life

The Marina is an old ikon of Porr Douglas. Remember MR SKase - one of his projects. It's a nice Marina. Good outlook from the restaurants

Some nice cafes to sit at and view the water front whilst waiting for tours to depart. Some of the staff at the restaurants/cafes looked bored and tired (before lunch time!) Better buys for souvenirs at Presenting Port Douglas, 51-57 Macrossan St Port Douglas.

The reef Marina was quiet a large establishment with many restaurants, bars and shops. A big selection for places to eat, we enjoyed a few drinks and a sunset cruise on a catamaran which sailed from this location. Quality surrounds with a real buzzy atmosphere. We walked to the marina from our accommodation at Peppers Beach Club.

Port Douglas is a lovely coastal town in northern Australia. The Marina is clean, pretty and a peaceful place to visit. Walking along from the Marina itself there are wide open spaces and the town is delightful. Well worth spending a couple of days her and exploring the local area.

As far as Marina's go this place is quite good. All the big tourist boats leave from here and if you like wandering around looking at all the yachts etc it's quite good. But as far as shopping is concerned, stick to the main street. There's a couple of small tourist type nick nack shops obviously there for the tourists... More

This a good place to come and eat/drink and view the array of tourist craft, sport fishing boats and a few super yachts. Good people watching as well, plus a quirky market on Wednesdays

I haven't been to the marina in it's hey day so I can't compare but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way for shops here. The few shops here are mainly tourist ones selling basic mid-range items for families (e.g. sun hats, towels etc) The only reason I visited was to get catch my catamaran for a day tour... More

The marina seems to be in a constant state of building or upgrades. Hopefully it can be resurrected to its halcyon days.

Had a couple of awesome nights at the reef marina recently sampling a stack of craft beers at the new Hemmingways brew bar and having some sunset cocktails at Barbados. Some great little restaurants with unique water views you can't get anywhere else in port Douglas facing w and the daintrees.

The Marina has a number of shops, many are store fronts for the tour companies. They have a few souvenir shops as well. Take a walk through but there are also a few restaurants that sit overlooking the Marina that are definitely worth stopping for a drink or a snack.
