Terrific location - historic botanic gardens are a jewel in Rockhampton’s crown. Lovely spot for a family picnic, a stroll through he various micro climates that have been created. Recommended.

Could be better...the japanese gardens ponds were dry....better signage around could be an advantage in the Zoo area...didnt see any koalas....good tosee the figs are the same as they were wben i was a kid

Me and my partner loved it here! And we visited the FREE zoo on site too! Then took a walk down to the lagoon which was stunning! Loved it!

Yes the Gardens Tearooms opens every day of the year except Christmas Day. Trading hours are 8am to 5pm. The Botanical Gardens are open every day of the year from 6am to 6pm.

It's all FREE. This is virtually the only free Zoo we know of on this coast. Similarly the Botanic Gardens are free as well. Bob & Sandra
