Unfortunately the weather was terrible (hamilton can't help that) but what it revealed was that the island is very dependent on weather related activities and is quite soulless when it's not sunny. Every restaurant has almost the same wine list (due to the ownership... More

There are several 'Feeding' options at Hamilton Island Marina. My wife and I tried several establishments. there were many options from the Tavern, Takos, a Pizzeria, Seafood, a Fish & Chip shop, a bakery and the Yacht club. The places we tried were not world class but when you're hungry on an island, serve as a decent feed. During the... More

There are always the usual yacht-types that wander in to the Hamilton Island marina...& then there's the OMG ones... take a wander around & enjoy! The backdrop to the Whitsunday Islands is just pure heaven! <3 <3

There is 1 of most things you need for the few days you are there. Lovely fish shop has 500g fresh prawns everyday so fresh great on fresh rolls from the bakery next door. Pizza and pasta place for a casual night or the Taven at the end of the road

We hired a yacht for a few hours to go around the island, and we was totally impressed! The service was great we had food and drinks a plenty onboard. The staff were so friendly and welcoming onboard I would definitely hire a boat again..

We passed through here several times on the way out to excursions and again when we went to eat The choice of food is good and the ability to sit and watch the world go by at the same time as having lunch or dinner is almost priceless

The marina area is fantastic, with every facility that anyone could require. The shops are beautifully stocked and provisions readily available. Lots of shaded places to sit and eat or just admire the breathtaking view .

Its a great place to sit and drink coffee, watch the birds and of course, the boats. Handy for all the excursions and day trip booking. The Whitsunday Cruises go from the Marina.
