It’s a wonderful boat ride to Whitehaven Beach which stops at the famous Hamilton & Daydream Islands along the way. If you can’t afford a helicopter ride over the Whitsundays... then make sure you walk one of the 2 trails that lead to the most magnificent birds eye view lookouts! It’s well worth the walk. I’m 56 & was not long out of hospital, so I wasn’t going to do it but I’m glad I did. I was a little puffed as was expected but goes to show it’s not really a difficult walk to the top. Beautiful fine squeaky white sand & pristine, cool, clear, aquamarine water to splash around in. Nature at its very best, as long as you don’t go on an overcast day!…

I highly recommend booking a day trip out to the beach it is worth the money. I booked a day cruise with Cruise Whitsundays and unfortunately it wasn't the snorkeling cruise I thought I had booked but it turned out to be just as good for an afternoon out. If you're looking for something to do for an afternoon I higly recommend this tour as it is something that offers great views on the boat and then you spend a couple of hours in the clear blue water on the beach or you can hike up to the lookout at the top of the hill. We visited Whitehaven beach on our own private charter yacht and yes, it is as stunning as expected! If sailing there isn't for you, you can also fly there by helicopter, which leaves from Coral Sea Marina Airley Beach.

I will not say that it is the most beautiful, but certainly one of them. So white sand and so blue water. We even used sand to polish our rings as the guides said, and it worked very well! lol Because it is very touristy, there are a lot of people which can bother some people.
