We live very close to the tramline (stop 10) and we find it a great way to go to places in the CBD, where it is either difficult or expensive to park. If we go to the theatre, parking a car can easily add $15 or so to the cost of a night out. If I use the tram, I... More

My wife and I were staying at Miller Apartments on Hindley St and decided to visit Glenelg by tram. There are a number of ticket options. Day tickets are available at $10, or you can buy a metro card (at convenience stores) for $5 and add credit as required. There are also ticket machines on trams but I'd advise buying... More

The tram to Glenelg is easy transport to the main hub of the village scene. Lots of shops, beautiful beach and sit in the sunshine to relax. Trams depart from Adelaide city and it takes you right to the doorstep of Glenelg shops. Great for all members of the family.

Busy and efficient, rides quite often. Have seen verbal conflicts a few times but never escalated. Have taken my kids on it too

We used the tram several times to go into the city centre from Glenelg. Trams are clean and relatively comfortable and run every 15 minutes or so.

There is minimum waiting time between trams. They are always clean and tidy. The last stop at the bay has every thing you want. Good eating places, plenty of shops and a great beach. The walk along the esplanade is so relaxing.

Relatively cheap way to get around and see Adelaide, easy enough to navigate and Tram staff were friendly and helpful. Like all public transport you see the good, bad and pure strange!

It was Sunday at the end of March, around 30 degrees and the beach was amazing, not packed and the water just perfect! Very enjoyable hours spent there

The Glenelg tram is definitely the most efficient, affordable and comfortable way to travel from the CBD to Adelaide's answer to Manly Beach. This very modern version of a nostalgic method of locomotion takes you on a journey through vastly different suburban communities. An architectural smorgasbord - from high rise to low rise - corporate to residential - terminating at... More
