I went on St Patrick’s Day to look round The Cathedral, it was having a spring clean, all of the ladies had time to talk about their place of worship. The lady in the gift shop described to me how the organ had been returned...More

I love going to visit this beautiful cathedral. It is quiet, cool and very beautiful. On a Sunday the church is packed and the atmosphere is reverent and solemn. When I'm tired, a visit to one of the side chapels is very comforting. No one...More

Beautiful Catholic church right in the heart of the city, close to a tram stop and opposite the Hilton hotel. Had a beautiful Palm Sunday mass. Nicely decorated for Palm Sunday. Lovely warm welcome to the visitors, by the cathedral ladies and priest before Mass.

This cathedral is not as ornate as some of the great cathedrals of say Europe (France,Spain and Italy in particular, but once you enter the main church area it is so peaceful, quiet and beautifully lit on a bright sunny day. There is some folklore...More

You can't go to the City of Churches without visiting one of the many old churches. This one is particularly good as the architecture is wonderful inside and out.

No problem walking around or going to mass - not too impressive as a cathedral for a Brit.. as probably to modern ( 1860's) and built on a budget.

So often a RC Cathedral is very highly decorated and ornate, this is warmly simple in comparison. The columns and arches give it the gravity and solemnity due. the diocese patron Saint is Saint Patrick and there is a small shrine left of the altar....More

As Adelaide is the City of Churches, this one didn't disappoint either, beautiful architecture and I loved the garden and statue of Mary Mackillop. Another touch of romance with glimpsing the bride entering the Church.
