Close to Adelaide city, easy to walk to from most accommodation, security was good, went for a game of league, 21,000 people was easy to get to toilets, food and alcohol. Great game.

Iconic and easy to navigate venue. Beautiful ground and old scoreboard. With a trip to visit, especially if a sporting event is on.

Stale , expensive chips . Have to put money on an Oval credit card to buy drinks and food . Red wine selection very poor - all Jacobs Creek - all rubbish . Someone was smoking in the Riverside bar - no one from Oval...More

Ninety minute tour by enthusiastic and knowledgable volunteer was great to see the workings of a major sports stadium and to experience the athletes perspective.

Recently have been there to see a football game and 'Guns N Roses'. Good viewing from most of the seated areas, although in the higher seats it is hard to make out individual players and you run the risk of a nosebleed. On the hill,...More

A fantastic tour for both visitors and locals. We purchased our tickets online and the process was very easy and at $24/person represents amazing value. The directions to the gate really helped for those unfamiliar to the oval. The 2 hour tour walked us through...More

Well done Adelaide, such a great venue to add so much value to an already beautiful city. Location is perfect & traffic is well controlled, even on really busy days.

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
As a first time visitor to Adelaide Oval - and hopefully for the Ashes Test December 2017 - does anywhere in the new Eastern Stand give any shade for the afternoon? Is the Riverbank Stand in the shade for the afternoon? What time at start of December does the Eastern stand go into the shade? Do the backs of the tiers get shade from the tiers above? If you cannot reserve a seat, do you just get in early and put your bags on seats?

Hi there. I think your best bet might be to contact the SACA for that one. You can contact them here (08) 8300 3800. I am sure they will tell when the shade comes out.
Hi all I'm looking to get tickets for the ashes, just wondering where is the best section for a couple of English fans, aged between 25-58. Definitely not looking for an alcohol free zone! What are the cheap $30 tickets on the grass mound like? Any help would be top. Cheers

Simple mate - THE HILL just under the scoreboard !! It is perhaps the most atmospheric part of the ground and many a member of the Barmy Army has been there and can tell a tale !

Yep you can stay in Glenelg. Its a beachside suburb and you can stay at the Grand. Its about a 20 min tram ride into the city. You can also stay at one or 2 of the city hotels also.
